Can I monetize my work with this license?
Certainly, your purchase plan covers unlimited income generated from music use. As long as the music is used to enhance video content.
Does the license cover commercial work?
Our TV/Film plans are custom made, include use for commercial projects, whereas our Socials/Marketing only covers personal projects for you and your small business (both allow for monetary gain).
How long is my license valid?
Once you have purchased a track from Desert View Records your license is covered for use to enhance video content. Refunds of purchased subscriptions are bound by Desert View Records' terms and conditions. They state that we can't provide refunds for any subscription that's automatically renewed and hasn't been cancelled.
Can I purchase a single-song license?
Yes, once you have subscribed to Desert View Records, you can purchase a single-song license for exclusive use. If you have not subscribed, single-use contracts are availible for purchase - contact info@desertviewrecords.com
Is the music royalty-free?
Yes, social media creators will be able to make unlimited use of the music works without having to pay Artists royalties - Royalties are paid out by music rights organizations so be sure to include the ISRC code, where & when asked, for your projects when publishing and contact us for that metadata if you need it at info@desertviewrecords.com. We do ask that you tag us on Social Media and list the track info when posting, where applicable. ie: Colombian Coffee - Desert View Records. In the instance of national use we ask to purchase a single-use license.
What am I prohibited from doing?
You are prohibited from re-releasing onto DSP's, covering, using for audio-only, uploading works to other online music libraries, and presenting this music work, or any part thereof, as your own as the ownership rights remain with Desert View Records unless an exclusive use agreement is entered.
