Sarya Wu
Sarya (they/them) is a Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter/poet based in Seattle. They were previously located in Edinburgh and Taipei, where they began making music in 2017.
Sarya’s work stems from spoken word and DIY music scenes, using emotional lyrics to fuel their ethereal vocals. Sarya likes to play with video game-inspired electronic 8-bit noises to create songs about the worries of everyday life. Spanning across multiple genres and always eager to experiment, Sarya has over 1,000,000 streams for their latest EP, "take care of yourself." "I don't know where I'm going, but that's okay" was featured on The Herald Scotland as the #1 song of new Scottish music in 2020.
